TalkisCheep.com Introduces: VRLandlords Free Advertising Directory for Vacation Rentals

VRLandlords.com is a Free Vacation Rental Directory that allows vacation rental property owners (landlords) to promote their privately owned or managed vacation rentals. They provide a convenient and cost-effective way to manage vacation rental properties and help landlords reach vacationers.

VRLandlords concept is very similar to what TalkisCheep is offering to business owners. I got a chance to speak with Kerry of VRLandlords to learn more about what they do.

TIC:Why did you start VRLandlords?

VRLandLords:We started VRLandlords because we were desperate for a way to make owning and managing our own vacation rentals easier.

TIC:How did you come up with the concept and name for the company?

VRLandLords:Our industry is a huge market, we needed to break it down and work on a particular area within the industry as a whole. Starting with the owners and managers of vacation rental properties seemed the logical place to begin. We wanted something memorable, short and relevant to what the site offered for the name.

TIC:Why did you feel the need to offer a free service for vacation rental property owners?

VRLandLords:Vacation rental owners, especially the owners that only have one or two vacation rental properties have enough overhead. Most are just trying to break even with the mortgage from what is likely a vacation or second home for themselves. Then there is home maintenance, housekeeping, reservations, yard work, etc. We are really looking to help the folks who are just doing this as a hobby but would still like to break even or make a little bit of extra income.

TIC:What differentiates VRLandlords from its Competitors?

VRLandLords:We are just a couple of friends who decided to try to make a difference. We are a small company, we try to keep things personal, simple and quick. Our philosophy is win-win. We want everyone involved to “win” something from the experience; owners, managers, vacationers and us.

TIC:What advice would you give other individuals who are trying to break into the industry?

VRLandLords:I think it is like any industry. You have to plan, research, adjust and take action… over and over until it evolves into what you want. Due diligence is key for any business’ success. Any business venture (perhaps I should say, adventure) is a lot of work and a major education.

TIC:Are there any dreams that you haven’t achieved yet?

VRLandLords:Dreams, no, goals yes. Dreams are imaginary, goals are measurable and require action to reach.
